Mike Woehst, DDS, MS - Orthodontist - 1520 Green Oak Place, Kingwood, TX 77339 281-358-0003

Ages 7-12

Early Orthodontic Exams May Intercept Problems
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children first visit an orthodontist at age 7-12. An early examination by an orthodontist could stop a developing problem from getting worse and could even eliminate the need for braces altogether. Simple expanders or retainers can eliminate crossbites, protrusive teeth, and crowding. By merely removing primary teeth early, needed space can be provided for erupting permanent teeth to straighten on their own without requiring braces. Dr. Woehst encourages you to call and make an appointment for your child’s early exam.

Orthodontics can straighten teeth and improve smiles at any age, but there is usually a best age for treatment to begin.  An early complimentary exam can help intercept a problem and ensure the best and most stable result for your child, possibly saving hundreds of dollars on braces later.

Early treatment achieves results that are unattainable once the face and jaws have finished growing.  The benefits will last a lifetime with good functional, straight teeth that are easy to clean, and the self-confidence to smile when one goes for that college or first job interview.

"I've never seen a smiling face that was not beautiful."
